Here, living tradition meets a stunning cultural landscape, creating the perfect setting for learning and community. Join us for a unique course in traditional Norwegian timber frame and post construction, led by Jan Gunnar Helmikstøl, one of the country’s foremost experts in heritage Grind-/Stav- craftsmanship.
For three intensive days, you will learn how these beautiful and durable wooden structures are raised. The course combines theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, and is designed for carpenters, builders, architects, and anyone with a passion for building culture and heritage.

The basic principles of timber frame (grind) and post-construction
Use of traditional tools and techniques
How these constructions combine strength, flexibility, and aesthetics
Practical on-site work: raising a structure together
